Yes, our Merry People boots are 100% waterproof.
We get a lot of customers wearing our Bobbi boots in the snow! The Bobbi boots have been tested in sub-zero environments and are dry and warm. They were not designed to be a snow boot, so we recommend you purchase a product called ice grips or traction spray to apply to the soles to add more grip.
We are in the process of developing and integrating a stronger grip for more traction, sign up to our mailing list to be the first to know when these are available.
Use a hand towel to pat down and remove as much moisture as you can. Stuff the boots with newspaper, then place the boots upside down in a warm place. After 24 hours, remove the newspaper and repeat the process if needed until the boots are dry.
No. We recommend you order your normal shoe size. If you are a half size, however, we recommend sizing down as the boots run a half size larger e.g. size 8.5 would be a size 8.
As the natural rubber and neoprene will soften over time, we recommend that the inner sole of the Bobbi boot be around the same length as your foot (no less). Please refer to our Size Chart for measurements. If you wear thick socks, then measure your foot wearing the thicker socks.
The boots are designed to be a standard width. Our boots are made from natural rubber and neoprene. They may feel initially a little snug, however neoprene has similar properties to memory foam so will soften, stretch and mould to your feet over time.
Likewise, the outer rubber will soften to allow for wider feet or bunions. If it doesn’t feel right, you can always return to us for a full refund.
Yes, there is an inner sole inside the boots that can be taken out. If it still doesn’t feel right, you can always return to us for a full refund.
Merry People boots are not non-slip and do not have any work safe accreditations. We have not designed the boots to be work boots, they have been designed to be a fashionable waterproof and lifestyle boot.
Similar to a leather boot, there is care required on Merry People boots to ensure you have them looking good for years! Read more on our blog.
Keep your boots stores somewhere dry and away from direct sunlight; we recommend keeping indoors if possible.
Merry People boots can be cleaned using warm water and a mild detergent (we find dishwashing liquid works well) use a cloth or scrubbing brush to remove any marks. if you leave excess dirt on your boots, it can dry out the rubber or fade the rubber color over time.
Rubber can bloom, making the boots appear white and chalky. This is normal and natural and can be easily removed. Use a cloth and a teaspoon of olive oil for each boot to treat the bloom. Rub the oil into the boot using the cloth in a circular motion then allow to dry.
Silicone spray is a great rubber protector and will extend the life of your boots. Silicone spray or oil is available at most hardware stores, and will help keep natural rubber most and help avoid cracks. If you want extra grip, try traction spray on the soles.
If you follow all the care instructions and still have issues with your boots within the first year, please contact us at email@example.com
