We’re Partnering with Seattle Children's Theatre to Spread Joy this Season

What’s a better match than boots and snow?

We’re excited to announce our partnership with Seattle Children’s Theatre in support of their enchanting new production, The Snow Queen!

At the heart of both our organisations is the desire to bring joy into the lives of the people we interact with. Our rain boots represent finding what makes you feel happy and alive and embracing every step of that journey with joy.

Seattle Children’s Theatre (SCT) uses the power of art to bring joy and understanding to young people across the country. Their performances invite young people—and the young at heart—to step into someone else’s shoes, fostering empathy and new perspectives.

A Joyful Partnership

Like us, this year SCT is celebrating a very merry milestone – their 50th anniversary – and we’re so excited to be a part of their future.

We’re so proud to partner with SCT with the joint aim that young audiences across the country will experience connection, inspiration and joy through a high calibre of professional theater.

Merry People boots will be available to try on in the Charlotte Martin Theatre lobby before every performance of The Snow Queen. We'll be donating 20% of the rain boot sales purchased using a special code (scroll to the bottom of this page) back to SCT for the duration of The Snow Queen production.

These funds go towards the future of SCT and the work they are doing to connect hearts and minds through theater, and to continue to provide children access to imaginative, accessible and relevant art.

Get to Know Seattle Children’s Theatre

If you are already familiar with the work of SCT, then you’ll know that they are one of the leading theatres for young audiences globally. For many children, SCT will be their first and only experience of the theater.

The team at SCT believes in the transformative power of live theater to educate and inspire children, helping them explore the world beyond their own experiences. As Cessalee Stovall, SCT's Deputy Managing Director, beautifully puts it: “Theater teaches young people to see the world outside of their own. It introduces us to languages, families, challenges, grief, persistence, joy, sorrow, and more.”

Stovall reflects, '”At SCT, we lean deeply into coming as you are, taking what you need, and letting the stories and imagination stay with you as you go.”

Through theater, SCT aims to open hearts, minds, and dreams.

About The Snow Queen

SCT’s new production, The Snow Queen is a wildly original adaptation of the beloved Hans Christian Andersen tale (which inspired the hit movie Frozen!).

We follow the lead character Gerda on an unforgettable adventure to rescue her best friend Kay. Will Gerda’s love and grief save her best friend Kay before he is trapped forever in the Snow Queen’s palace? A courageous and whimsical tale of deep human connection and belonging, The Snow Queen is an enchanting escape that the young people in your life are sure to fall in love with.

Book Your Tickets for The Snow Queen this Winter

“Being in the theater teaches us to be active listeners, to be curious, to clap hard at the great times, and that it’s ok to cry hard in the tough times… it reminds us that in this world, we’re not alone - and like the emotional times in our real lives - it’s always better together.” – Cessalee, Deputy Managing Director

We’d love to invite you to support SCT by purchasing a ticket to an upcoming performance of The Snow Queen using the code MERRYQUEEN for 30% off.
