The Andie Idea: Why We Designed This New Ankle-Boot
Andie was inspired by the need for a Merry People boot that blends traditional rain boot sensibilities, with a streamlined silhouette, explains Cass, Head of Product.

Design DNA: Every boot design in the Merry People family shares the same DNA. From our universally loved Bobbi Boot, came the inspiration for our Billie Clog - with the boot design literally cut in half to create a slip-on option that still offered all the waterproof, warm wear benefits. The same goes with Andie, which was created from the same ‘last’ - an anatomical foot form used at every stage of shoe production - as our much-loved Tully Boot - combining strong, sturdy support and snug fit with a lower heel and less chunky tread.

Seamless, Easy-To-Clean Silhouette: Andie’s 360° seamless natural rubber silhouette is free of any stitching or visible neoprene lining. Featuring a higher cut and wider opening than our other Merry People boots - 30mm more height than Bobbi and 5mm more height than Tully - this elevation provides a no-fuss silhouette that creates comfortable, never-too-tight wear that proves flattering on all fits.
- 100% Waterproof: Like all our Merry People boots, Andie is designed with 100% waterproof, natural rubber that keeps wet weather out plus the higher cut allows for trekking through deeper puddles while keeping your socks - and toes - dry. Super warm 4mm neoprene lining provides thick cushioning that - in combination with the inbuilt arch support - shapes to your foot over time. This reduces painful pressure points, too!
- Comfortable, Lightweight Wear: Starting the day running around after the dog and ending it with a date night?
