Rain boots in the snow may conjure up images of wet socks, soggy toes, and soaked ankles.
But not with Merry People boots!
Our 100% waterproof boots are built to take on any alpine adventures, and the heavy rain, steady snowfall and powdery play that comes with it. When you’re considering what to wear in the snow when not skiing, you can rest assured our boots will keep feet dry, toes toasty and ankles cosy from AM to après!
Why Our Boots Are So Great for the Snow
So, what do you wear to the snow? A mountain getaway takes some planning when packing. From ski jackets to goggles, everything needs to be warm and waterproof. And the same goes for your footwear; packing boots that can take you from the chalet to the slopes without stress - and soggy socks - is essential!
1. They're Waterproof and Warm:
Traditional rain boots are created from PVC or rubber and are designed to protect feet from mud and rain, rather than providing waterproof wear. This means feet get cold, damp, and socks don’t stay dry.
When we created our first boot, the Bobbi, our goal was to make it as versatile as possible, removing any limits on where it could take you, whatever the weather. That’s why all our boots are crafted with 100% waterproof natural rubber and lined with 4mm thick neoprene – the same durable, insulating fabric used to create wetsuits!
Each boot design is also tested against sub-zero temperatures, prioritising not just dryness, but also comfort and warmth wherever you go. This makes Merry People the perfect choice when wearing rain boots in the snow.
2. They're Snow Friendly and Stylish:
Whether you’re slope side or mid-snowball fight, Merry People boots prevent any wetness from sneaking in. But what about if you’re more of a skiing spectator looking for a super cute boot that works whilst kicking back fireside? Merry People boots have got that sorted too, serving up a stack of fun, fresh colours and styles to work back with any winter wardrobe.
There’s Bobbi, which prioritises function and a snug, go-anywhere fit, or Tully, which brings a strong contemporary, elevated twist to the traditional gumboot. Maybe you’re looking for a fashion-focused boot that offers higher ankle coverage and a seamless silhouette? Then Andie is the perfect choice.

Top Tip: Ice Grips are Essential
Our boots are the best choice for snowy escapes, but they are not designed to be snow boots, so we recommend you take care on icy surfaces. Using ice grips (available at sports or outdoor stores) will add more grip if you plan to explore icy or super snowy conditions.
