Hi! I’m Dani. I grew up on a dairy farm wearing rain boots. Fast forward to 2014, while working a corporate job, I couldn’t find comfy, stylish, all-weather boots. That inspired me to create Merry People. I hope our boots bring comfort and a little extra joy to your everyday adventures!

After receiving many customer requests, we are very excited to introduce the latest edition to our Merry People family - the Darcy mid calf rain boot.
We wanted to create a boot that was a step up from our Bobbi rain boot, with increased height coverage, increased functionality for wet and muddy conditions, suitability for different calf sizes - whilst also maintaining versatility so that you can wear from morning to night, city to country as an everyday fashion boot!

We want you, or the gift receiver, to be in love with this purchase. If the size or color isn't quite right or if they need to be returned for another reason, please let us know and we can offer you an exchange or a full refund.
We have extended the returns window from our usual 30 days. Orders placed from the start of November to 24th December 2024 will be eligible for an extended returns period of 90 days.
We will cover the cost of you returning the boots to us if you're in USA or Canada.

I am really pleased with my new boots, bought for dog walking in the New Forest. They are quite snug so I took out the insoles and they fit perfectly! They are really warm as they are fully lined. I christened them this morning and they are comfortable to walk in.

So, turns out i was 'that' customer. Felt like goldlocks and the 3 gumboots.
First I ordered the Darcy. I knew my calves were wide but not that wide.... these were tight. So I figured it was just my fatty legs and returned for a pair of Bobbi. I got Bobbi and felt they were way too tight (had ordered up a size). They werent easy to get into. So, back again as Andi had just come out so thought Id give them a go. Now, I don't want a fashion statement. I need sturdy. I walk out to rhe paddock and chicken coop. I need something that can withstand to volume of mud and poop that gets on them.
Andi has been good. Still a bit tight on the calves but I took the inner sole out until it stretches a bit and will try to stretch them out as recommended.
Look and feel comfortable.

As soon as I put them on I could feel how comfortable they are! The have owned many other major competitors boots in the past and was tired of the poor quality and materials. So impressed with the material and quality of these boots! They fit perfectly around my foot and ankle. I am so happy with these boots and they are my new favourite!

I love these wellie boots. Warm and comfortable even in the deepest puddles. No sign of any leakage and I'll be very surprised if they do but I am going to keep them clean and looked after. They do seem a little heavier than my last pair of wellies but they leaked after 5 weeks so I'm happy to strengthen my legs in them. Every little helps. Haha.
